With the use of the latest portable diagnostic equipment we are able to bring the modern consulting room to the comfortable and familiar surroundings of one's own home. Spectacle correction and level of a client's vision is checked using portable illuminated test charts along with trial lenses/frames and confirmation tests in much the same way as would be performed in a high street practice.

The test to identify any visual field loss, important in the management of diseases like Glaucoma, is performed using an easy to use modern portable device called a Damato Campimeter.

Intra Ocular Pressures are taken using a state of the art 'rebound' tonometer. This is the equivalent of the 'puff of
air test' experienced in practice and is also used in the management and detection of Glaucoma.

A useful tool in the management of Diabetes is the Digital
Fundus Camera. This portable equipment is used to digitally
record an image of the retina at the back of the eye. This is
permanently recorded and kept with the patient's record.
